Brooks Firestone joined Louis Force Torres at the start of the independent publishing house journey, just after he left his directorship at the Adizes Institute.

They both shared a deep love for the Santa Ynez Valley, where Firestone had spent 40+ years growing his wine and political careers, and Louis had grown up since moving there at age 5. A common passion for the stories that arise within the rolling golden hills, the old oaks, and the hanging Spanish moss united them just as Firestone released his sequel to the wildly popular Valley Animals 2010. Combining the aesthetic of the first with the more modern print trends of 2020, they re-printed both titles as a set, with help from Two Trumpets, a local design firm in Carpinteria.

“Working with such a storied client as Brooks Firestone is an honor. His name is synonymous with wine country, the California State Assembly, and entrepreneurship.”

A little bit before the official book release, Mr. Firestone was interviewed by the Santa Ynez-based podcast SYV Stories. Listen to an exclusive content  discussion with Brooks here: https://www.syvstories.com/home/episode-16-brooks-firestone
