Rebecca is a Santa Barbara City College art teacher and local sculptor, well known for her work in the world of stone for her depictions of natural features such as bee hives and sprouting seeds. Her experienced eyes, one green, one blue, expertly find the beauty and shapes hidden in the stone.

Her basketry was learned from a Native American woman teaching the tribal style during a workshop near Yosemite. Now Rebecca finds and dries her own pine needles (harvested sustainably from local trees) dyes them naturally, and then weaves them into beautiful baskets. Her art can be found featured in various galleries and pop-up stores throughout Santa Barbara and Ojai.

After a few forays into the watercolor world of nature-themed Children’s stories, Davis has brought her talent to Polyverse!

She recently partnered with Polyverse owner Louis Torres to help launch a line of children’s books focused on nature and fun! Check out both The Little Pika and Wall Dolphin, available now!
